Action Against... Biodiversity Loss

Encouraging and supporting Environmental Education in Schools

Again, there are just two actions to complete Step 2 Investigate:

Action 1:
Complete some kind of school audit that gives you an idea of where your school can make changes to increase the biodiversity within the school grounds. This could include planting wildflowers, making and placing bug hotels or creating a wildlife area or pond… anything that has a positive impact, in fact.

Take a photograph of your audit results or have a file ready to submit with the rest of your evidence.

Action 2:

Once you have completed your audit, identify three different things you are going to take action against, e.g. habitat loss or action for e.g. building a bug hibernation area. Then, put together some idea (a plan) for what you are going to do i.e. the action you are going to take.

Take a photo of your plan or have the evidence file ready for submission when you’ve completed all of the Steps (Inspire, Investigate and Act).

Once you have completed both actions, move onto Step 3: Act.
