Encouraging and supporting Climate Action in Schools

Action Against Climate Change is moving into Planet Friendly Missions

Schools can still complete the Action Against Climate Change Award if they have already started it.

For new schools, we recommend registering interest in Planet Friendly Missions, our new school action programme launching next academic year. It includes practical climate action through energy, travel, air quality, forests, waste, food and more.

Welcome

Kids Against Plastic are passionate about the need for schools to cover environmental issues like the climate crisis, plastic pollution,  and many more.

We also believe in empowering young people to be the change-makers of the now/ future.

The Action Against Climate Change award is aligned to Eco Schools and can be used to support your Green Flag application.

Three Steps to Action

Learn about the Climate Crisis, the history of Climate Change and the need to become Climate Clever.

Investigate the impact of the Climate Crisis, make a school action plan and make a Climate Clever pledge.

Act

Act on your pledges and action plan and run a campaign to reduce your school’s climate impact.

Get Started

Getting started couldn’t be simpler.

No registration or sign up is needed to start your journey to becoming a Climate Clever School, and do your bit towards tackling the climate crisis. Simply get started on completing Step 1 Inspire, Step 2 Investigate and Step 3 Act.

When you've finished

When you’ve completed all three steps, complete the form to submit your evidence. It will only take about five minutes. On receipt of your form we will celebrate your action and send you a digital certificate and sticker (for your school website or personal CV).
